I am Cristóbal Barba González member of the KHAOS Research Team, I received my PhD in Computer Science (November 2018) from the University of Málaga (Spain), and I am Assistant Professor at the same university. My main lines of research include Big Data analysis techniques, especially Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms, and metaheuristic techniques for the optimization and streaming processing of large volumes of data. All this is applied in different fields, such as the environment, agriculture, bioinformatics, tourism and smart cities. I also focus on developing ontologies in other domains and applications that use Semantic Web technologies. I have published in high-impact journals indexed in JCR and have disseminated my research at many national and international conferences. I am collaborating in the multiobjective frameworks jMetal, and jMetalSP.
My research interests include (but are not limited to):
Activities and Societies: Member of the Department of Computer Sciences and Languages (LCC). Ph.D thesis entitled Big Data Optimization: Algorithmic Framework for Data Analysis Guided by Semantics , thesis directors José Francisco Aldana Montes and José Manuel García Nieto
Activities and Societies: Student at the University of Málaga
